At Blue Mound Graphics, we like to focus on the importance of community. Whether it’s the community-building calendars we produce, our small team, or the service work we do as a company, our focus is on strengthening community.
We want to introduce you to other organizations making a difference in our community—the greater Milwaukee area.
This is our second installment of a series highlighting three local groups doing good work. All three fill crucial needs in Milwaukee and deserve a shout-out! Our team members visited all three facilities to learn more about each organization and presented each with a donation to further their mission.
Street Angels
Street Angels Milwaukee Outreach is a community-funded organization that responds to the needs of people experiencing unsheltered homelessness. Through its mobile outreach team, it meets these individuals where they are and connects them to the resources they need to rebuild their lives.
A Little Background
Our team was graciously given a tour of the facility that Street Angels operates out of in Wauwatosa, WI. Co-Founder and Co-Director Shelly Sarasin hosted us that afternoon. She showed us how their small but mighty crew coordinates and delivers on their promise to address and reduce homelessness in our city, Milwaukee.
Shelly exudes caring warmth and passion for addressing a growing need in the Milwaukee area. What began as a desire to help those in need at her local shelter has blossomed into an organization that has provided resources to the community since 2016. She said both shelters and the city have limited resources and cannot feasibly provide every individual with the complete, essential support they need. That is where Street Angels jumps in and bridges the gap. They provide immediate assistance and advocate for those individuals on any given night.
Showers of Hope
Along with the buses, they operate a mobile shower unit called Showers of Hope every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, providing barrier-free access to hygiene products and giving people experiencing homelessness a chance to take a warm shower.
In September 2026, they provided 124 showers to those in need.
Meeting Needs
They operate two mobile outreach buses on consistent routes across Milwaukee every Tuesday and Thursday evening. These buses are stocked with items to meet immediate needs, such as clean clothes, hygiene kits, and freshly cooked food. The hard-working teams on the buses also connect people with local resources and, when possible, help individuals and families experiencing homelessness find temporary housing.
Thank you, Street Angels!
It is truly heartwarming to know there are community members so driven and determined to help those in need. Street Angels puts so much time and care into their work that you can’t help but feel inspired. Shelly told us she hopes every meal, every article of clothing, and every shower provided feels like a warm hug and a reminder that someone cares.
We appreciate Street Angels for their time and for the gentle reminder that people in our own community are working hard to ensure everyone is treated with love and care. We know our donation is helping improve the lives of so many in Milwaukee.
